Sunday, December 17th, 2006 - Ventimiglia

We asked Angelo Licata, director Dark Resurrection, to tell us in person his opinion about DR and in particular the last extraordinary session of shootings finished a few days ago.
Here is what he told us.

During this last phase of Post Production I've made a rough copy of the entire movie. The storyline was too cryptic, and the narrating voice that I've foreseen wouldn't have been enough to provide some elements necessary to comprehend the events. I went back to the script and I added two flashbacks, which would give the details on what was happening in a clearer manner.

Davide Bigazzi, with whom I discuss about any decision, was concordant and we did it. I am happy for this decision because the result is also of a great emotional impact. I wasn't expecting to recruit more actors for this scene, but it went that way!

Starting with Sergio Muniz, he saw the first trailer in the "Effetto Note" studio in Milan (Pierluigi Piucci) who is taking care of a portion of the Sound Track. Sergio reacted with great enthusiasm to what he's seen and he told us that he would be excited to participate as pro bonus.

Also Fabrizio Rizzolo and the beautiful Isabella Tabarini were added to the professionals within the group. I feel obliged to spend some words on them.

Sergio is a good person, with important values, and with one of the best approaches to life that I've so far. He is so strong that fame has not changed him, and being such a good person makes him likable to anyone just after five minutes that you've met him. As if it wasn't enough, on the set he amazed everyone for his professionalism. He climbed into the role just an instant after he asked me with interest about the details of his character, and every cut was good after the first one (between one cut and the other he made us laugh so much for his imitations!!!).

Fabrizio Rizzolo is very good as well; I didn't have any doubt about him especially after I heard him in dubbing Master Aron. Fabrizio, is a professional actor with much experience in both movies and TV, I invite you to see his website Fabriziorizzolo.it to see how many roles took part in.

Isabella Tabarini at last, incredibly kind, but able to transform on the set to take up a role that is totally the opposite of her persona, she left everyone speechless. Only one cut for her, and it was not necessary to take any other one. Fantastic!

I cannot leave out Romano Pini, versatile artist, opera singer, director of orchestra and a sublime painter. When I met him I was impressed by his scene presence. Some people are born to carve a stage! He finally accepted only after being so insistent to participate to the scene needed, and I thank him from the heart for his decision.

The crew was able to use a fantastic operator once again. Andrea Pizzi who for the second time gave to us his help and tools, where he is also the Project Manager for [Irisfotovideo.it].

The atmosphere on the set is the same one of all times, a group of friends, gathered by a common passion. Now that the shootings are completed for real (at least I think) some emptiness was left behind, as we're not able to spend time all together anymore, partially due to distances as otherwise we'd be friends who would meet every day.

I'm not going to nominate the other actors, as you already know them.
But I will spend some time on them in the next Post Production update regarding these last cut scenes.

LOI has a new member for 3D, his name is Riccardo Gallino.

And now with immense pleasure I would like to offer you an extract from the pictures taken on backstage during the shootings on Sunday December 17th by giving a special thanks to everyone, to all the people that put their hearts!
